TREASURE HUNTING/metal detecting
with Treasure Tom: Metal detecting in Florida isn't all about unearthing gold rings encrusted with diamonds though that's an exciting possibility. Instead, its about the thrill of the hunt, wondering what's buried under the sand, whether its a button, a buckle, or a coin. One hour class with instructor, metal detectors and gear supplied. Limit to three guests. Gearing up/ Where to go and where not to go / Finder's keepers? Sometimes. It's about strolling along a stretch of beach, swinging your detector, listening for a beep or click while you enjoy the day. Its about connecting with the past on a personal level. Guest will learn about the shipwreck of old and the ongoing shipwreck recovery happening only 50 yards of shore. Guide will provide stories sure to entertain young and old. $150 per person. Souvenir bucket will be given to collect your 'finds'. Authentic Jupiter Wreck treasure coins are also available at discounted prices to guests. 'Shark tooth Steve' will entertain you and teach you how to recover a variety of sharks teeth. The most common teeth are from bull sharks, lemon sharks, sand tiger sharks, and great white sharks. Learn how and where to find sharks teeth and the history as to how they got to the beach. We supply you with the tools to use to make it easier to find shark's teeth … and more!
